Gonzo’s Quest Pokie
Predicated on the historical character that was a real Spanish conquistador, Gonzo’s Quest comes with a humorous, 3D animated version of the explorer setting off to find the fictional lost city of gold, El Dorado.
The match starts with a short, yet amusing, animated movie where he jumps ship to go off in search of gold by himself, introducing you to the narrative of Gonzo. Following the video, you are found straight into the 5-reel, 20-payline game, and his position is taken by Gonzo to the left of the display, where he waits to see just how much gold you win for him and watches.
Gonzo is quite the amusing man in his small conquistador’s uniform, scratching his beard and spinning his helmet in dancing, apathy and fist-pumping when triumphs happen, and even doing a moonwalk on the other side of the display when he is extremely pleased with the payout.
The display artwork is wonderfully depicted, with a lot of greenery, an Inca temple in the background, and fountain of water pouring from a rock carved face. The background noises make you feel as if you are actually in a Central American jungle, and it sounds like actual rocks tumbling when the symbols fall.
The symbols all feature a comprehensive, naturalistic Inca carving of an animal or human face on a square rock. Each is not the same colour: light blue is the best value symbol, pink the next greatest, green, purple, golden, then tan and eventually, a grayish-blue face with golden trimming marks the highest-earning symbol.
The Wild symbol is a grey engraved rock using a gold question mark and circle around it, while the Free Fall symbol is a solid gold medallion using a face at the center of it.
The standard reel whirl you see on most pokies has been replaced with the brand new Avalanche attribute, which suggests that symbols fall into place on the reels separately, as if being dropped from above. When they reach on a winning wager line, they burst in an amusing, 3D Fashion, and more symbols fall to fill in the gaps so long as there are currently winning pay lines on the reels. Each additional win is multiplied. All the symbols fall away as soon as they have been given and are replaced with 15 new ones. As the game play is somewhat extended by the Avalanche attribute, you get more opportunities to win with each spin.
Line up three or more gold Free Fall symbols on one pay line and you’re going to get ten re-twists. The multiplier is raised during Free Fall way, in order to get up to 15 x twists while this attribute is activated. Bonus coins also drop from the symbol; Gonzo runs through to get the falling gold coins into his metal helmet and also the screen displays how many you have won when this occurs.
